In 1966 this sprite raced in the
ARRC at Riverside International
Raceway shortly there after it
was sold and placed in a garage
where it sat until now. We are
undertaking the job of
resurrecting this old race car so
it may be enjoyed again as a
street car. This car will be
getting a complete mechanical
restoration with all being made
new with an exception of the
exterior paint, it will be washed
and left as it was in 1966 with
hand painted stripes numbers
and names. :update on the
sprite due to the severity of the
scratches and ageing in the
paint the car will be repainted in
this color with all the graphics
replaced as they are now.
The FMM booth at British Extravaganza this
past weekend. While we did not take any of
our English race cars this year we did drive
our Morris Minor from the shop to the track
in Buttonwillow  which is nearly a 400 mile
round trip.
Here at FMM we have been
kicking around a few ideas that
maybe some input would
help........We have been playing
with the idea of a driving event
similar to a road rally with pace
notes and a destination with many
interesting destinations in route
and a bbq lunch and awards at the
end of the day. Any suggestions?
or interest? If there is enough
interest we can tie this in to other
events in So. Cal and make a year
long series out of it with nice
awards at the end of the year.
